***NYU Regular Decision Class of 2021 Discussion***

@indiahyland yes, there is a section in the financial aid form where you indicate how much you/your parents expect to be able to contribute with, so the rest of the tuition cost would what you “ask for”

Just got an email -
“As we conclude our evaluation of candidates for admission to New York University, we’d like to update you on our decision notification process.
On March 30th we will email you with the specific link you will use to view your admissions decision. Please ensure you’ve activated your NYU Home account beforehand by logging into start.nyu.edu with your NetID and following the instructions.
Decisions will be released intermittently throughout the day, so please wait to receive your email with the special link before looking for your official admissions decision.
We will begin releasing decisions over the phone on Monday April 3rd.”

Hey guys! Does anyone know if it’s possible to switch your major after being accepted but before starting at NYU? I have applied as a Psychology major to the College of Arts and Scienes but would like to switch to Gender and Sexuality Studies in CAS or Media, Culture, and Cummunication in Steinhardt. Good luck to everyone on their acceptances!

I got it as well. Getting nervous.

Same just got one too!!! Aghhhh so nervous!!

D got one too.

Got one too! It makes me so anxious grrrrrrrr

I received an email. Crazy nervous. Does anyone mind explaining what they mean by phone calls?

I find it a little odd that they are releasing the decisions throughout the day. Have they done this in previous years?

@triggeredsenior i read their last year’s blog, and it seems like they did do it last year. Not sure about the ones before that.

Also, will we get the phone calls or do we have to call them to ask of our admission acceptance? Didn’t really understand that part

I got it too, I dont think we should read much into it seeing as everyone got it

@bat77man666 @Azurite27 The phone call part just means if you for some reason are unable to access your decision or didn’t get a decision than you can call the admissions office as early as April 3 and they will tell you your admission status.

So question - Anyone didn’t get it?? It seems very normal and I think it’s maybe to everyone…

oh my god. why would someone who applied to nyu NOT get the email saying when results are released.

yall are reaching wayyyy to hard for signs you got in/got rejected

Does anyone have the shanghai accepted students portal link? I tried logging into the one on the email, but it took me to abu dhabi

@ravenclaw316 I do not think that major you put down on your application matters. You can change major anytime you like, as you don’t officially declare a major until at least a year after you study at NYU. However, if you want to change schools, like to Steinhardt, then you cannot change before you begin NYU.

One of my friends just got an acceptance in their email for NYU Shanghai!

@Chances1 was NYU Shanghai their first choice on the application?

Do you only get an email if Shanghai was your first campus choice?
