***NYU Regular Decision Class of 2021 Discussion***

@nyc20grl I tried to screenshot the page that you’re talking about, but I wasn’t able to figure out what it says

@nyc20grl I tried that and I did notice the page that flashed before stating my ID is invalid, but I think it is only a glitch, and not indicative of anything. It seems like something all applicants would see; I’m not sure, but I’m just speculating it does not mean anything.

@nyc20grl yeah I see a page for a split second so I screenshotted it and it’s just a purple header that says new york university, and then links for home, about us, NYU authors, hours & locations, events, FAQs, and contacts.
the only difference in the purple header is that before you log in, it says NYU bookstore and then it goes to New York University before changing back to NYU bookstore really quickly again. probably means nothing though

@nyc20grl the first time I tried to log in though I saw a blank white page with random black links on the left side of my computer screen. I think this was just one of those things that happens when a website doesn’t load properly though, because when I tried to log in a second time, the same page didn’t show up. just the one I mentioned in my previous comment

everyone can log into the newclasses page though right?
https://newclasses.nyu.edu/

okay thank you.

do you think some of us will find out tomorrow?

wait what FA change are you guys talking about ?

@nyc20grl everyone finds out on the same day - thursday the 30th. although it seems as though this year, applicants will be finding out their decisions all throughout the day so the time is not guaranteed (so not like last year when everything was released around 5pm EST)
turn your email notifications on and just keep refreshing your email on Thursday!

@KingShahhh if you log into albert and click on financial aid summary, you either have 2018 or don’t

should I expect a change if I did not apply for FA or does this apply to everyone?

their admissions twitter just tweeted out the average admitted students act and sat scores- but from 2020? idk

SAT: https://twitter.com/MeetNYU/status/846901269042159616

ACT: https://twitter.com/MeetNYU/status/846906088532389888

@jjrrdd some people who didn’t apply for FA still got the 2018 change. with that being said, as seen in last year’s RD discussion forum, the FA change isn’t an indication of acceptance

Wait those scores are for the class of 2020…and theyre slightly better than what NYU puts on their website

Do you think they meant class of 2021?? Because it makes no sense to be posting about class of 2020 stats at this time.

@Rav115 the one on their website may not be updated I’m guessing

No I would think they meant to type 2021. Why would they be tweeting about the class of 2020 days before 2021 decisions are released?

Edit: Plus they only included reading and math, which is the new SAT. The class of 2020 all would have taken the old SAT with writing. I definitely think they meant to type 2021.

@CathJR wait yeah you’re probably right!

They just confirmed on twitter they mean 2020.

@CathJR wait no the person running the meetnyu twitter just tweeted again that its not the stats for class of 2021.

“We do not have those statistics just yet as then entire #NYU2021 class has not been confirmed”
