When I click the link, it has my username listed as student. Also on the left hand column it says stuff like “advising presentation part 1” and “fall course planning worksheet”… anyone else have this too? Lol im so desperate.
@beepbeeplettuce6 - Yes
I applied to CAS and I can login and see student too, but then it says the CAS portal has closed and doesn’t let me do anything else. Do your portals also close?
looks like we all do…no one has said they don’t
So I found this golden post from @czrtt of 2022
"Lemme go ahead and list these things out bc it tends to get convoluted and repetitive as each year’s thread parrots the same exact thing. You guys can fact check me by going into last year’s ED I thread and comparing changes to acceptances; you can see in people’s post histories.
NOT indicators:
FA change (THIS CHANGE HAS BEEN CONSIDERED UNRELIABLE SINCE THE CLASS OF 2020, if you go into last year’s thread, there were many people who got this change and were rejected–check their post history of you want confirmation)
Orgsync login
Housing change involving email, ID, or application tab
Bookstore login
Classes login
THE SINGLE, MOST RELIABLE Indicator:
Housing status change to “freshman,” from the day before decisions are released all the way up to about 30 minutes before (even so, some people claim to have not gotten it yet still got accepted)
I feel like I see the same things in each thread, and there is only one consistent factor: housing. Literally every single other change has had no correlation whatsoever to decisions. If I forgot any, let me know and I’ll try and add onto this post. I’m just trying to save a whole lot of reading for next year’s applicants and save some brain cells for us. No use in repeating the same mistakes as last year’s class; use this time to get some much needed sleep and study for your finals~~~we’re in the homestretch guys, hope everyone gets the decision they want!!!"
Edit: So I spent like 30mins(haha) on the EDI and EDII forums of the 2024/2023/2022. Lots of people who got accepted didn’t get any housing changes or FA changes. Their message to us(future applicants) was that changes aren’t indicators of admissions, and we shouldn’t worry about it!
@LeviAru Thank you for this! It’s been so hard to wait that I think we all try to find ways to comfort ourselves during these anxious times. We all need to stop trying to find little ‘hints’ because the admissions decisions are coming out very soon. That letter is the ONLY 100% way of knowing the decision. Good luck to everyone!!
i’m so sorry if this has been mentioned before, i just want to get it clarified to clear up my own worries. so based on what everyone’s saying, if i can access the undergraduate housing portal for the 2020-2021 academic year, that means nothing right? i have the spring portal, summer portal, and then under that the 2020-2021 academic housing application in nyc, which i am able to fill out. i’m so sorry if i’m being annoying, and thank you guys for being so helpful. sending good vibes to all of you! we are going to be alright
Any idea what time the decisions gonna be released?
I have heard that decisions are released around 12 in the afternoon… I could be wrong though.
@Leviaru - thanks for this. Greatly appreciated.
I agree don’t think it means anything. They are probably all connected to the netid.
Decisions come at 12 noon EST. Good luck to all
I thought it was around 4pm? For my ED decision it came out at 4
@gungagiginggong yes. maybe it’s a good thing ? i hope
I thought that the email said they would be out tomorrow ?
@isabelmars17 It comes out sometime on Monday. People here are saying noon, but they usually post on twitter the exact time on the day of.
only 2 more sleeps until decisions!!
Hi! RD decisions are coming out in only 2 days. I have very little hope though. Could someone tell me what they think? I have a 4.584 unweighted GPA, I am salutatorian of my graduating class, and I’ve got many ECs and I am captain of my varsity cheer team. Also dual enrolled at Yale. My one problem is my SAT score- a 1240. At my school (public, low-income, 97% minority) that is considered one of the highest scores. I’m so so anxious, should I be?
When do financial aid packages come out, and do scholarship awards come out with acceptance letters or will financial aid notifications?
@shrimptacospls while your sat score is below the average, I feel like your other stats make up for it! With everything going on in you application, I don’t think an admissions officer would deny you for just your sat.
@tessloven your financial aid package usually arrives a few days after or during the one week period after decisions. However, time may be prolonged if you need to send them any documents.
@ellie1234 thank you, I appreciate it! I am hoping for the best
