NYU Shack School of Real Estate, anyone??

Hello all! First post. Just want to know if I have a shot and should apply ooooooor if I shouldn’t even bother wasting my time and try to go for another school, like Pratt or CUNY Hunter (for Urban Planning). Here goes!

GPA: 3.8/4.0

Undergraduate Degree: Urban Studies w/ concentration in Planning

Work experience: 3 years working as an assistant to the director of development at a large NYC real estate investment and development firm (won’t name names), during the course of which my role slowly became more of an associate and less of an assistant (heavy client contact, on-site construction supervision, etc). I am also OSHA certified.

Volunteer experience: 3 years volunteering for NY Cares on almost every weekend (planting trees, cleaning NYC gardens, etc).

No GMAT, no GRE (I heard they’re not necessary if you have experience in the field).
I am immensely passionate about my city (NYC) and real estate. I know that an MSRED from NYU Schack would grant me great career and other professional opportunities and I want to make the most of them. In addition, they offer a concentration in community development and I am dying to be able to join a development team that is more mindful of existing communities and believes in a more sustainable way of doing things. I am eager to really be a part of a new team and work my way up in this industry.

Do I have a shot? Thanks! :-)

Wanted to point out the typo in the thread title. It’s SCHACK, not Shack. Thanks!
