Has anyone heard back yet? I never even received a confirmation email from when I sent in my YouTube link in November. What's going on?

Contact the school ASAP- send an email now and follow up with a phone call on Monday afternoon if you haven’t heard by then.

I sent an an email on D’s behalf yesterday to the admissions person who works with the VP dept. and they are still evaluating. I asked because making airline reservations will become difficult soon! Then, later, had a friend tell me that their staff is on break until Jan. 28th! Do they expect folks to make last minute travel arrangements? Their VP audtions are 2/2, 2/10, and 2/24! This process is certainly nerve-wracking.

“Do they expect folks to make last minute travel arrangements?”

In a word…yes.

I’m not familiar with this particular program, but this seems to happen more and more. Especially in VP. I think it has to do with the super abundance of singers. More and more applying every year, lots of applications to go through and more than enough people who are willing to make those last minute trips. This happens in YAP and professional auditions all the time now days as well.

One reason my son decided not to attend NYU was that he got very fed up with how disorganized they seemed and how hard it was to get answers to simple questions. And this was post-admissions. My daughter attended NYU for one year although she was in Tisch School for the Arts and she was also frustrated by the administration and how challenging it was to get simple things sorted out.

Whew - D received an email today - invited to audtion! Yaay!
