nyu stern or cornell hotel school???

hey you guys,
I'm having a really hard time deciding where to go! I feel soo lucky to have gotten into the 2 programs that I've wanted to go into...but now I can't choose! I made a list of all the pros and cons but I still can't make up my mind. here's my comparison:

Stern:
program: seems awesome and really fun -stuff I'd love to study. I know for sure that I'm really into business so this would seem like the right program to be doing

costs: tuition is cheaper than cornell by 5 grand, but living costs makes it as much or more

environment: there's no campus and I don't know how i'd feel about not being able to prance around school...however, I love nyc

activities: doesn't seem to be as intense as at cornell, but there would be so much to do in ny that I suppose it won't matter

hotel school:
program: seems really exciting (especially the wine tasting haha..) but since I have no experience with hotel administration, I don't know if I'd want to go into that field... I know that business is hella competitive but atleast at NYU i'd be at the center of the finacial world...where as with hotel management its all rather sketch...

costs: already mentioned

environment: it's really pretty but so isolated...and I wouldn't have a car so i'd be pretty isolated

activities: so excited for all the clubs...although not to eager to root for a brown bear =_=;;;

anyways, thank you all so much for taking the time to read this and please give me your opinion.

Cornell - hotel management school is #1, but... you'd be in hotel management, and it doesn't seem like you're really set on it, which could be limiting. However, I hear it's easy to transfer within Cornell.

Stern - you can pick any type of business field you want, and it'll probably be stronger than Cornell's. However, it's still limiting because you have to major in business (though now you can major in select CAS depts), and transferring within NYU is not as easy.

I dont know much about Cornell hotel school, but my friend got in with a 1100/1600 SAT score and no stellar EC's or GPA (she was spanish, but still). So I think Stern would be more academically stimulating/easier to find good job.

cornell's hotel management school is pretty "up there," but stern's business school isnt terrible either. you'd get a broader education with stern's business program so if you decide you're not interested in hotel management, you can always do something else business-related. you'd be limited at cornell, physically in terms of activities, but hotel management also seems very specific. if you're not sure, experiment around first. however, NYU is a huge school. if you want a smaller, more personal setting, go for cornell- it's not like the other schools there are bad either.
btw, i know stern is nearly impossible to transfer into from another NYU college, but what about into CAS?

Cornell Hotel School is definately awesome and so is Stern so congrats! you're so lucky~! If you're not sure if you want to go into the hotel field, then I would go with Stern. Even if you graduate from Stern, you can still get to work in the hotel field. Not all hotel general managers graduate from hotel schools. There are a significant number of GMs who graduate from business schools.

Just ask yourself, do you really want to work in a hotel? Seriously

6rings: if you really want to work in a hotel, yea why not?

stern's claim to fame is finance....just remember that
