Hotel Management at NYU

How is it? Is anyone in the program, or know someone who is?

How is the school of continuing studies as a whole?

I'm in Stern, but there's a person on my floor who is studying hotel management at SCPS. I've heard nothing good or bad about it. I don't think a lot of NYU students know it exists.

yeah, one person i know from NYU said that she didnt know about it either... hm.

If hotel management is really for you, Cornell is a better place to study it.

because Ithaca is tourist central...

I'm also looking into Cornell, but I need back-ups as well

Consider looking into Univ. Nevada in Las Vegas. I have heard their hotel management school is better than Cornell. http://hotel.unlv.edu/

is ithaca really tourist central???

i think thats too much...

"Consider looking into Univ. Nevada in Las Vegas. I have heard their hotel management school is better than Cornell"

No way. Nevada is not better than Cornell Hotel in name recognition (which carries a lot of weight), industry contacts, or overall academics.

ummm, well according to 2 hospitality magazine publications, Purdue and UNLV were ranked at the very top, and Cornell was....not on the rankings.

The reason is that they decided not to participate, ever since a while back, so i guess technically you can say that Purdue and UNLV are the best programs...but only on a technicality.

so...back to the first question:

How is SCPS at NYU? Is anyone in the program, or know someone who is?
