Well I've been accepted to NYU, received the email and the paper letters and stuff. But, when i went to check my financial aid status, I got: "award access not available". Now at first i thought that it meant that i didnt get financial aid (i'm an intl student, and well yeah not many monetary resources for my kind =P), but after scouring forums and because of google, I'm no longer sure of what this means.

So basically, what does "award access not available" mean? Does it mean financial aid is not available for me, or does it mean the decision is not available for me to view yet???

mhh hmm, ok well that shoots my hopes out of the sky xD well plan B is now in motion, as in I’m checking on private organizations to help me make ends meet. I only found a few, like rotary interactive, who are able to help an intl student pay for NYU, seeing as the French and Philippine government (yeah i have dual nationality, which technically should help me find gvt help to pay for college, but no in reality --’) won’t help me.
And well i also got accepted to BU at their CAS, but the price tag of BU is roughly equivalent to NYU, and they’re not helping me financially either --’ .

Keep in mind you will need an approved US F1 Student Visa in order to attend school. One of the requirements is that you prove you have the funds to not only pay tutition, room & board, and fees but living expenses and transportation as well. Under that Visa you cannot work in the US
