New Financial Aid Update!

Just wondering if this too will hint at admission, much like the "2014 Award Access Not Available". Under To Do List, I didn't have anything under there until today. Now it says the following:
" 2013-2014 FAFSA Received Financial Aid
If the item status says 'received' this means we have received the form. If is 'requested' then to be considered for need based financial aid please complete your 2013-2014 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using NYU's school code 002785 "

Do you think that since they are updating the To Do List, this means that I am accepted, like the 2014 change in our financial aid status?

Um, I think the fact that it says they received your FAFSA means they received your FAFSA. It’s a checklist because it’s giving you accurate information about what you need to send - I am 100% confident that they received the FAFSAs of many many people they won’t accept.

As for the other one “Award access not available…,” I see little difference between it and “no data,” and certainly not as an indicator that one will get in. If anything, no data just means they don’t have enough information to calculate/you applied incompletely. The awards aren’t available to be viewed because no one is getting in yet; if it turns out you got 0 aid or didn’t even get in the award is even more “not available,” nor will it ever be, y’know?

I don’t know why there’s 4 pages of people freaking out about this.

That change was what I received before I was accepted EDII.

Nyuclassof2017- do you mean you had the first change the OP referred to, or that the second one appeared after that change as well (the one that refers to the FAFSA)? Also, it would be helpful to know if any ED applicants who were not admitted had the FAFSA message as it already seems generally true that at least most did not have the “award access unavailable” message ( at least among CC).
