I’m applying to Atlantic Acting Studio for 2019 but they emailed me asking if I wanted to apply to a second one too (bc of high demand) so I applied to Meisner as well. I submitted a 3.7 GPA (at a prestigious exam school) and got a recommendation from one of my old directors (who is also a casting agent in Boston) and from my classics teacher at school. I have 10+ years of theatre and MT experience. I am a rising junior. What is my likelihood of getting in? I heard it’s 40% acceptance rate but that’s for rising seniors I think? Any alumni want to chime in about waitline/acceptance info?

I was in NSB last year. On the first day, the head told us there were around 300 apps for the 42 spots (putting it at 14%). But I can’t speak for Meisner (they didn’t offer Atlantic last year).

Did you end up getting accepted?

I applied to Atlantic as well and registered ETW as my second choice. Just found out today that I was waitlisted for both studios. Do they reject anybody, or do people who aren’t accepted automatically go on the waitlist?
My Stats: current junior, 3.67 GPA unweighted (public school), 14 shows on my resume, recommendations from two past directors
