no but last year externals also heard this week and the person that heard from steinhardt on the 3rd was also external but you never know with this stuff
I thought so. But this is transfer thread, not a ED EA or RD. Who cares about freshman acceptance rate here, all we need is a transfer acceptance rate.
from my understanding, 7% AR is for freshmen or internal but not transfer
thank you! idk why ppl talk about freshman when we are transferring lol
yeah lets keep freshman info out of here bc it confuses everyone and gives us extra not needed stress
Agreed!!
I’m trying to stay positive but i’m also becoming more anxious and just want to hear back from them already
no need to be anxious yet, no one has heard besides 1 person.
Hi. How is everyone. I was hoping to ask something. When NYU says that they are going test optional for first years and transfer students, does that mean you have the choice to report your SAT scores even if you have taken the SAT or do I need to submit it if I have already taken it. Also, i am in my first year rn and do not have more than 32 credits. Does that change anything or would I still have the choice. Lastly, I had a 1410 on the SAT, do you think I should submit it or not.
I don’t think it’s necessary but a good score may help. 1410 here as well.
I don’t know how accurate this is but I wanted to share this with you. I called admissions to get an idea of when we would be recieveing the decisions. They told me that they would use the whole month of April to review and then start sending decisions in May. But I also know that this is what they kind of always say but it would not be cool if NYU actually decided to follow their decision release guidelines for this year
decisions in may?! yikes
Ugh. Seems like forever!
Thank you for calling though!
Decisions starting in May!? I have to know by May 3rd because I’ve applied to more than just NYU ;/ … I’m hoping they release decisions sooner as someone in here said they already were accepted about a week ago. And it seems like they do it throughout April according to the previous years information you guys were mentioning. But also this year is very different, so I really don’t know. Thank you for calling and telling us!
I’m seeing a lot of misinformation re freshman vs transfer admission rates and wanted to give a great resource. Every university completes a “Common Data Set” each year which gives you the actual numbers broken down on every level. Follow the link and go to page 14 for transfer numbers - you will all be very relieved I think. Not only will this keep you busy for hours (hell you can go back a decade for each university), you will also be dealing with the reported institutional facts instead of fuzzy CC math.
Damn how did u find this? You the GOAT!
Any Stern External Applicants hear anything?
I don’t think so. Plus, stern applicants usually hear the latest
on the common data set it says a minimum of 16 credits… does that mean you have to have 16 at the time you submitted your application?
