When I read through the previous years thread, I notices that CAS applicants had their checklist dissapear a week or more before their decision. Gallatin applicants had it dissapear the day they received their decision. Tisch applicants did not report checklist dissapearences. However, this time there is no trend. Applicants from all schools have had their checklists dissapear.

Guys is there a difference in the incoming sophomore and juniors since they will be in different years. Does the checklist and decisions vary because of this ?
I called the office. your checklist missing means that they are now reviewing it but no indication as to when you will hear from them

I think because of this the decisions will be pretty random like a few a day or maybe even a big wave on Friday when they go through a couple together

yup. mine’s still there.
For people that still see checklists, I’d say not to get discouraged – when I was on the waitlist and got my decision, my checklist had been there the entire time, so from my experience, nothing is really set in stone. It’s all just a matter of what they get around to reviewing.

Same when i was waitlisted last time but still feel pissed
And didn’t someone already say that the checklist disappearing simply means that they’re reviewing your application? I don’t think it disappearing has any significance in regard to whether you’re accepted or not. Sorry I’m new to the chat, and am trying to catch up. I just don’t want people to fret over the checklist when it has no deeper meaning.

I agree. I don’t think portal changes are indicative of acceptances or rejections (as shown in past NYU threads)
yeah it just means they’re reviewing the application
no changes on D’s portal or Albert.
