Hello! NYU has been my dream school forever and sadly I was rejected for this upcoming year. I plan to transfer into the music business program at Steinhardt as a sophomore. I’m conflicted as to if I should attend Belmont University this year as a music business major and really work my hardest, or go to Marymount manhattan where I could major in business and minor in music. Although MMC is not rated very well and does not have my major, while living in NYC I could do a few of the visiting student courses at NYU and still if all goes as planned, transfer into NYU. Belmont is a great school for my major, I just would prefer to be closer to home and especially in NYC because I know I will have FOMO, MMC is also a great school, but not for my specific major. I am very conflicted. Any help in any direction is greatly appreciated.
You should go to the school that you will be happiest graduating from in case your plans of transferring to NYU do not come to fruition.
