Vandy ED has a 48.5 acceptace rate and a 37.2% RD rate. No clue about W&L.

That's not what I mean(BTW W&L is very similar to those stats).

I mean would I myself get in.

sigh

Nobody can tell me how an ED with my stats could fare at Vandy even!?

or Washington and Lee? Does NYU have such a program?

WOW -- My college list was nearly identical to yours.

I'm a New Yorker and I applied to Vandy, NYU, W&L, GWU, Georgetown, Boston College, BU, and Rochester.

I chose Vandy. It came down to NYU and Vandy in the end. And im so happy I picked Vanderbilt. Visit the campus -- it will make the decision so easy for you.

Good Luck!

Your in the ballpark, but not near a gaurentee btw

Thanks a lot mate!

Yeah, I really like the prospect of being in Virginia at a small, comfortable school, with a great curriculum and good people, and near D.C.(by a few hours, mind you. near enough).

Vanderbilt, eh? I might go visit. You think if I interview that I will have a better chance of being admitted? Same for W&L? Both do interviews on campus for visiting prospective students.

I know of some people who have gotten their kids into Vanderbilt with terrible grades, and my grades are relatively decent, my SAT isn't that bad, I think with all of my ECs, recs, and good essays I might have a chance.

Anyone else? This has been very helpful, thanks to all who have responded!
