Hi guys, I’m a bit worried about how although a staff of NYU has contacted me regarding my application, I have still not received the Application Acknowledgement Email and thus have not been assigned a University ID (N#). Is it just me? Is anyone out there who is going(or has gone) through a similar condition?

Hi. I got an email regarding the CSS profile deadline, and they referred to me as an ED2 applicant as well as my name. But no, I have not received my Application Acknowledgement letter either. It should’ve been in my email 3 days ago. I have contacted the financial aid office and will let you know when I hear back.

I was really worried since all of my other schools already sent out application acknowledgement emails about a week ago, but I actually just got NYU’s an hour ago.

I am in yet another crisis! So I am applying for financial aid, and I was waiting for the University ID to complete it and just when I get the ID I forgot to put in the information and have already sent the CSS Profile.

I am also applying to UC Boulder as my safety, but very honestly. I’ve been here for almost 18 years so a change of place is exciting.

Though, I have looked at the post for the “FA change” admission rumor thing and it was super interesting.
What is this “FA change” thing?
This is what I know in terms of EDII applicants - although, it may hold true to other applicants, but I haven’t read as much about them.
For the most part, it’s a rumor, but there does seem to be a pretty steady correlation with the actual admissions decisions.
When you check your Albert account, under the FA tab, if it changes from “no information found” to something like “2015 award access not available,” it’s a hint of acceptance.
Of course, there are exceptions, and furthermore, we could all be super delusional, but the myth does seem to hold up for the most part.
