Hey guys. I was recently accepted to NYU’s Liberal Studies program. I had applied to CAS and was hoping to pursue Economics and International Relations. NYU has been my dream school for a while but, after reading some posts about the Liberal Studies program, I came away with the impression that it was NYU’s “remedial” college. I also got into Vassar and they gave me a pretty generous aid offer. I’m not sure which is a better school and could really use some advice. Thanks!
Have you visited Vassar? How do you feel about the smaller environment of a liberal arts college? My D is a junior at Vassar and loves her courses and the close relationship with professors.
Vassar with a generous FA package sounds like too good an offer to pass up. Save NYU for grad school.
I was planning on touring Vassar this month. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to due to the current situation. I have done a virtual tour and the campus looks beautiful and I could definitely see myself there! I’m just afraid that by going to Vassar i’d be giving up the opportunities (internships/networking) of a city school.
Does NYU offer a Conservative Studies Program ?
Regardless, Vassar College’s offer (and location) is an outstanding option.
Vassar offers a nice economics program.
