O-chem @ UCSD is upper division???

I am planning on taking O-chem at a CCC next fall and plan on transferring fall 2017 to a UC for bio/biomed engineering. UCSD is my numero uno choice but O-chem is listed as an upper division course there, which seems strange, and i know if you take any upper division courses and plan to transfer, the unit cap is 80 semester units or else you cannot be admitted(and i will have like 100 units). other UC’s like davis dont list it as upper division. If i take O-chem at a CC, can i kiss my chances of going to UCSD goodbye?

I’m not sure if this helps at all, but it seems to me that the ochem series is 140 which would mean its upper division. Not sure if this helps at all but:

If ochem is listed in your assist you should be fine to take it because to my knowledge nothing from a CC can transfer over as an upperdiv anyways. Again, I’m not entirely sure on how accurate my information is.
