<p>Go to a college where you fit in well and can do well. Concentrate on doing well there and getting into ANY medical school, where you can graduate and hopefully get a residency in your Ob/Gyn field.</p>
<p>OB/GYN is not a particularly hard residency to get into...</p>
<p>In 2007 there were 1155 total positions and only 960 US Senior medical students who applied for those positions. 837 US Seniors eventually matched into the field. Given that with International Medical Grads, 99.5% of all positions were filled, my guess is that the majority of US seniors who didn't match into OB/GYN went in other direction, not that they couldn't get into the field.</p>
