OBAMA is speaking at NEU tomorrow

My parents both support Coakley and Obama will be speaking at the Cabot center tomorrow so for those who are interested in going GO! Doors open at 1pm

http://www.boston.com/news/local/breaking_news/2010/01/obama_may_speak.html

I am so going but the seating is so limited i might watch it from curry.

So they will be playing it in Curry? Cause I’d love to see it, but… not sure it’s worth standing in line for 6 hours.

BLAH, am out of town, can’t believe it!

But most importantly, those from MA need to VOTE on tuesday! :)

Tomorrow is now today  Got a text msg from my son. He is in line but doubts he will get in.
and this from a news story:

BLAH son stood online for hours and then hundreds of ppl pushed ahead, no line, mob style, to get in. He watched on TV, I think. SOOOOO Frustrating!

Obama left a little while ago.i waited out by my dorm and seen him go by. I did not have to deal with no line and it was not as crowded as most people on Huntington ave were blocked

transfernkid: I hope you are not an English major. Jeez!

I was considering it Lol I just did not feel like editing it

Got in line at 7. Way less than 100 people in line. A few hours later, somebody counting people pointed at me and said 100. Then so many more people started cutting in line. Then we were 277th. Absolutely zero crowd control, as the cops really didn’t care. Very unorganized.

So then people start to be let in in waves. And my group of 6 gets cut off. A few minutes later, we’re told that the fire marshall has shut it down and wouldn’t let anyone else in. We were literally the VERY next group. So there ended up being a bit over 200 people in front of us in line that got in (people got about 50ish line-cutters to leave). I should tell you that the line went down Huntington, looped thru Krentzman Quad, and rumors said it extended to down by the Symphony stop. In line, they first told us that 2,000 would be let in. Then 1,500. Then 1,000 to 1,100. So we thought we were for sure in, since we were within the first couple hundred.

Not going to go into details here, but we got in (by the skin of our teeth).

The whole thing was absolutely ridiculous. All in all, pretty awesome to see the president.

Now I gotta do this all over again to get Beanpot tix tomorrow.

Interesting story! I’m glad you got in after all of that…

Obama!! Helll yeaaah!

Yeah I had to run to work in Pru around noon, and I couldn’t get a cab cause it was so backed up. The line turned the corner at Symphony.

Anyone else disgusted by Fox News?

Rally “barely full”?? Tell that to the thousand people who were turned away. And there was a whole lotta enthusiasm.

LOL thats so funny. The line was atrociously long.
