Hi guys I would really like to hear if I have a shot at Oberlin. I have a 3.7 unweighted GPA, 4.7 weighted, all of my classes since freshmen year have been honors or AP (except for PE!). Do I have a shot?? I would love your input. My ACT superscored is a 30 which I am very annoyed with but whatever. I have a lot of extra curriculars - president of Yoga club, I have volunteered for 2 months for 2 summers with Amigos de las Americas, a month and a half each,

oh but also, I never had an interview. Will this kill me? Can I even get one this late? THANKS FOR THE INPUT!

Yes, it’s a match. Look at the Common Data Set for Oberlin: http://oberlin.edu/instres/irhome/www/cds/2011/

Not having an interview (or visiting) only matters if you live within driving distance.

You have to be careful with the Oberlin Common Data Set because it includes the Conservatory, where standardized scores matter much less. However, you certainly have a shot. Make sure you put a lot of thought into your essays, and write a great “Why Oberlin” essay.

Here’s the only reliable answer to this question, from an admissions officer: [Oberlin Blogs | Blog Entry: “What are my chances?”](http://blogs.oberlin.edu/applying/selection_process/what_are_my_cha.shtml)

I’d definitely try to get an interview, even if you do one locally with an alumni. My experience is that in general the smaller colleges like people who have “demonstrated interest” in their school.

Thanks so much for the info. this helps a ton.
