Occupy uci/college conf

To everyone who was with me on that thread who got rejected. Lets go raid uci. And the college confidential hq. For making us waste so much of your not valuable time on this freaking site.

not gonna happen nor is it effective.

its a jooke

yes I know but I was referring to the ‘occupy’ people who think they will change anything by doing that.

haha i’m down…this whole process has been such a joke…should have never even tried so hard, practically wasted four years of my life

Let’s do it.

spotsfan, my son is feeling the same way after so many rejections that were over 90% chance of getting in. Really strange how a kid with a 4.2 can’t get into many places

it is a pretty ridiculous system… everyone I know who was accepted at my school had significantly worse stats and personal statements than me (we helped peer review each others) and in a lot of cases I had better ECs too… they ALL got accepted into UCSD, UCD, UCLA, or UCB and I got rejected from all of them. What a joke :/

I feel you. I didn’t get into any either. Life sucks…

The UC system is terrible. But don’t give up until you get the appeal decisions! :]

Does anyone know if they even accept students who appeal? It sounds like they haven’t even accepted anyone who was waitlisted. I am gonna give it a try but just curious.

My daughter got accepted to UCI as her safety school. She cannot believe that people with these stats are not getting in to this school. The UC system has been so heartbreaking for so many kids this year. We have been trying and trying to figure out what they are thinking and why are these unbelievable kids are not getting into these colleges. She has a 1920 SAT, but serious leadership positions at her high school. 4.6 w and 3.8 uw. She was waitlisted last night at UCLA. We just want to know the thought process going on with these colleges.

And btw. Their valedictiorian with almost perfect SAT’s has been getting waitlisted everywhere.
