***Oct 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

I was so confused on that question. I tried making them the same denominators but I was running low on time so I skipped it

CR-easy to avg, math-hard, writing-easy

For the two passages about writers block what did you put for the first question (i think it was asking the subject of the passages)? I was debating between increasingly common phenomenon and problem associated with specific endeavors

Moderator’s note: Do not bother posting Google docs links, as they will be removed. On a similar note, do not bother asking for them.

@antispirals Problem associated with specific endeavors.

I put problem associated with a certain endeavor because it did not mention anything about it being increasingly common

I put increasingly common phenomenon. I remember the second passage stating that this happens to many writers.

@Sajidur4‌ But is that “increasingly common” though? It has always happened to writers… it’s not a “phenomenon” that is happening more now than it did in the past.

The answer was endeavors

I put problem associated with specific endeavors but I was 50/50 with the choice

@ncccc1701 Rarity wasn’t a choice for this question…it was the answer for another question.

Writing is a specific endeavor. And writer’s block is something that happens within this specific endeavor. It’s not becoming increasingly common – its always been there. Just because it’s happening to a lot of writers doesn’t mean it hasn’t always been a problem for a lot of writers.

Was there an abnormal amount of vocab in the CR passages because that screwed me over.

Also what do you mean by rarity

@calvin12341 I actually think vocab was slightly easier this time…I took the Jan SAT and there were words like “seminal” that aren’t even in my SAT vocab list!

am i the only one who thought cr was hard?

there were lots of questions that i thought more than one answer worked

I thought the essay was a free 11-12 and the rest of the writing section was alot easier than usual

@FuzzyPeaches22‌ Yes, I realized. I meant to write endeavors.

I thought CR passages were harder than the January SAT.

What’s your guys’ predictions on the test?
