so wait *** how is it -1/2? i definitely under thought the question then. I thought the ACT was suppose to be easy and straight forward, so i was like you can't move that point or the area changes. meh

ya i know.. i put 0... ughhhhhhhhhhh not getting a 35 this time.. i doubt a 33

i thought it was -1/2 cuz the triangle's slope was negative but ionoo

i duno. i just thought it was 0 cause if you move it, the number of squares would change, changing the area. i duno

Ok, for the triangle question, I could of sworn that point B was 0,6 which would of made the slope 0. did anyone else get this?

^ I also could have swore the point was (0,6), kind of confused as to where everyone is getting -1/2 from.

Wait hold on? I think you guys forgot the question? I thought it was on what slope can point B move so that the area remains the same. Why would where point b lie matter?

hmmm haha ill try to argue for my wrong answer

isn't it 2 because you need the base to increase proportionately to the decrease in height.

i dont think so. if you moved 2 up for every left or w/e, it would still be screwed up. i think ur thinking of 1/2bh? it isnt 1/2 (2) (1) though. It would be like 1/2 (b+2) (h+1). I duno maybe im ranting.

i just dont get it, because if it's -1/2, then as the length of the base increases, the height also increases changing the area.

and if its 2 then as the base gets longer the height is getting shorter

if its zero then the base is simply shrinking.

and the other answer i dont think was relevant.

though i still think 2 is wrong, it just makes sense to me for some reason. but i guessed anyway.

i hate that question.

Hmmmm damnit ur right 0 slope could change it. crap

I scored a 31 on the math....I remember guessing on the following problems:
-The one with the rays (it was in the beginning)
-The one with the quarters,nickels,dimes
-The one where the person gets $10 the first day, $20 the next, for 30 days (I think it was number 30)

i was pretty confident I got a 35 or 36 on the math section, but I guess I overlooked some sneaky wordings or something cuz I got a 33 :(
