October 15 PSAT Discussion

yea i got 2017 and 49.5

i concur with debo. Did u guys get ardent as an answer for one of the sentence completion. And what was the answer to the number 8 i think it was. The two i was struggling with were penetrating...obscured and lucid...encumbered

2017 is correct. the slope was -0.49 something

But about the horizontal shift in reading habits, was it "careful consideration"?

the answer was lucid...unencumbered

I hope it was lucid-encumbered.

whats the one with ardent, i dont remember but it couldve been, i think i skipped out on the vocab questions int eh second Reading comp section

yea i put watershed refers to the information change

there was something else too

it was like what idea does it represent and it gave these two word answers
i put something to do with information (anyone know)

and on antoher one, i put something to do with how in comtemporary times, tehre are less material to anaylze carefully?

wait i put unencumbered for the second blank, i dont know what the first blank was though (what was the question, was that one aobut family lineage)

i dont remember ardent, what was the question on that topic

Also got 2017.

On the triangle one with sides of 1 and 100, I put angle A=angle B, because wouldn't the third side of the triangle have to be 100 (otherwise it wouldn't exist), making it isoseles, thus A=B?

@CollegeAddiction:

I put lucid and encumbured, because "penetrating" didn't make sense.

I got 49.5 as an answer on one of the math questions. I just remember it was grid-in.

@Bookworm:

It didn't say the sides were of integer lengths, I don't think, so I guess the sides could be 99.5, 1, and 100, or 100.5, 1, and 100?

yes, i went with "careful consideration" if i remember correctly.

I put redundant for some reason -_-

I also got 2017 and 49.5

Does anyone remember the mars passage, where it asks how the narrator in passage 1 would react to passage 2? I changed my mind so many times on that one.

does anyone know the answer to critical reading question about the watershed?

I also got 49.5 degrees for one of the grid ins.

34 was the last of the error ID. It was A . "seems" should be plural.

The other side is x if 99 > x > 101

bookworm- incorrect

the angle opposite the smallest side is the smallest angle

so since the sides were 1, 100, and (something greater than 99), angle C had to be the least

^was the lucid-encumbered the one about the family tree?

@I skipped one sentence completion in either the 1st or 2nd CR section (whichever had 8, not 5 SC's) because it looked like a paragraph question, and I was worried about having enough time to do the remaining passages.

more on the reading passage:

one of the answer was about having less material to read...i think.

"I put redundant for some reason -_-"

what question, concept, was that

which one was having less material to read (was it one of the first ones in that passage or one of the middle ones)

i think one was compare why they put an example from 1600 in...i put to express the change in times or something/

I guess I overthought the triangle question :(

But I haven't seen any others I've gotten wrong so far, so it's all good :D
