What did you guys think of the test? Any specific questions you had trouble with? Go ahead and discuss away.

i think it was not that hard

but there were too many passages at the end.

i ran out of time.

Eh...mixed feelings. I have no idea if I did well or if I did horribly. I took Spanish last after taking Math II and Bio (which I thought was incredibly hard) and towards the end I was just ready to get out of there. The passage about Baltazar and Ursula and "las jaulas" (the cages) was from a Gabriel Garcia Marquez story that we read in AP Spanish Lit a few weeks ago, so that was a pleasant surprise to see that and be able to answer the questions with more confidence.

All of those questions about the ads/flyers were kinda tough for me. On the one about "Abriremos las puertas" or whatever, were they a) giving legal advice or c) helping with difficult correspondence? I left that one blank. I left one other one blank too, a vocab question, since I had no idea what any of the words (alfombra, herremiento, etc) meant.

i thought that one was giving legal advice

and that chimpanzee one was just so random

and i left that one blank too.

Yeah, on the chimpanzee one it said something like...the chimpanzees ____ with all those different conjugations of 'enviar.' I put envie with an accent on the i because I know that for verbs with that type of vowel-vowel ending you have to distinguish the subjunctive from the first-person-preterite form. But maybe it shouldn't even have been in the subjunctive...what did ya'll put?

the chimpanzee one was herramientos (tools)
what'd you guys get for the reading passage with the guy who write the carta al rey de espana because he wasn't happy with the current state of things, did he write it for an intended audience of politicians or the king of spain? also, for the second question, which was was he unhappy with the current state of things or the history of the monarchy, he was unhappy with the current state of things (actual eventos) right?

I put that the book was directed towards the king of Spain, and that the main point of the book was about the current state of things. I had some trouble with the jaula passage, I left it for last because it confused me a little bit.

What about some of the first few questions where you put the fill in the blank?

What was the one about "when you were born, who __ the president of the us? was it fue or era? I thought it was a specific time, so it's fue, but then again, it's sort of description, so it could be era...

What about the very last one, where the guy always something to go home. It was either se pierde or se olivide.

Another one...the one about we have to protect the environment or something...it was like "this problem nos ___ mucho." It was either se preocupa or se preocupe.

What about the one in the filling in the blanks with the reading passages, the one where it's talking about the music stations/radio, were some of the answers volumen (for the first one), estaciones, and was one of them llevarnos or was it llevarse (this one was about the having to buy a cd just for two good songs and having to sort of "carry" the rest of the ones you dont want).

For the multicultural/diversity one, did you say the Bogota of actual? Were the Asians ___ in America where ___ is born? Did the asians perform ritmos (sp?)? For the fork question with the Japanese, did they use it for brincar or something like that? Some of the other choices were interpretar, reservar...

For the agricultural one, was one of the answers las mejores?

What about the Paris one where it's segregated into sections? Was the answer secciones or tierras?

I took the test, and I'm a spanish native speaker, so I'm pretty sure I got everything right.

"All of those questions about the ads/flyers were kinda tough for me. On the one about "Abriremos las puertas" or whatever, were they a) giving legal advice or c) helping with difficult correspondence?"

Definitly helping with difficult correspondence.

"what'd you guys get for the reading passage with the guy who write the carta al rey de espana because he wasn't happy with the current state of things, did he write it for an intended audience of politicians or the king of spain?"
It was directed to the king of spain. The passage actually read: "Destinatario: Rey Juan Carlos Segundo", literally... "Adressee: King Juan Carlos II"
"also, for the second question, which was was he unhappy with the current state of things or the history of the monarchy, he was unhappy with the current state of things (actual eventos) right?" Right.

"What was the one about "when you were born, who __ the president of the us? was it fue or era? I thought it was a specific time, so it's fue, but then again, it's sort of description, so it could be era..." Era.

"What about the Paris one where it's segregated into sections? Was the answer secciones or tierras?" Secciones, even when that doesn't fit that nice either... I would use "zonas" but that wasn't a choice...

"For the multicultural/diversity one, did you say the Bogota of actual?" Yeah.

"For the agricultural one, was one of the answers las mejores?" Don't exactly remember the question, but I think so.

"Did the asians perform ritmos (sp?)?" Yeah.

"What about the very last one, where the guy always something to go home. It was either se pierde or se olivide." Se pierde.

If I didn't answer something, it's because I don't exactly remember how the question went.

How you found this helpful...

Thanks, that helps a lot. I'm still wondering about the Japanese and the tenedor question...

I remember the question, but not exactly how it was, nor the answer choices. If you do, tell me and I'll tell you what I answered.

i left like ten blank ... any chance i can get over 700?
