October 2008 Score Thread

=] I'm happy, considering I sent my scores blind to all my important colleges AND it was my first time.
E - 32
M - 31
R - 31
S - 28

what does superscore mean?

You take your highest scores from each section from all the different test dates you've taken. For ex, mine would be: 35 C, 34 E, 35 M, 36 R, 33 S

E-30
m-31
r-21 lol
s-31
c-28........

Dang my English sucked beans

E 27
M 33
R 36
S 34

C 33

33 up from a 31 yeah boi

Eww. My ACT comp went down 2 points since the Sept test. I swear I'm getting stupider as the year goes on.

If you just send your better score, colleges will not even see the other one, right? :P

32! I will now wank in joy.

Ugh, I was hoping for the perfect 40 but I missed it by 4 points.

And the weird thing is, I scored the same in every section. Every subscore was 36. I'd have thought that I'd get 37+ in at least one (and maybe a 35 to balance it out), but it's pretty consistent.

Ah, well, maybe next time...

^ haha shut up, overachiever :)

PSHHH~
it's a joke
highlight ;]

ah you people getting like 33s and 34s, ughggh.

I'm super happy with my 29.

E: 35
M: 27
R: 31
S: 23
C: 29

(I apparently rock at english and reading but suck at math/science, which is weird cause I really like math/science and hate english/reading.)

You could easily bring your math score up at least 5-7 points by studying... I brought my math from 25 to a 34 just by studying :D It's possible -- and then you'd break 30! =D

Also, I am sure you could work on your science a bit... just do some practice tests!

Lol, PS: I am guilty of both counts, I have received a 33 and a 34 ;)

Why are you people so disappointed about 30s or 35s?
try having a freakin 24 and want to apply to places like
Duke and Emory. Stop complaining

R:26
E:26
S25
M:17 (I always get raped by math)

My standardized test days have yet to end. December is my last chance....

By the way, any suggestions about raising math I usually do well in E R and S on the practice test (but this time it didn't seem to work). I need a tip or two
Thanks

studystudystudy and work on speed! It's really simple math that you probably learned in 9th/10th grade (and earlier!), so it's just a matter of reviewing. Since you're at a 17, you can easily improve. Don't worry about trig, and just concentrate on the easy stuff.

I was very depressed with my score.. I took it cold like many others, but I didn't do so hot..
My composite was a 25 D: It's kind of scaring me I don't know if I can ever get past a 30..
Any tips?

M:30
S:26
E:24
R:20

kiggafosho
looks like you could do with a bit of boosting your reading scores
tip I use on reading is skim really fast and just force yourself to stay concentrated even if the passages are boring (only a 35 minute test after all =P)
having taken SAT, I can tell you that ACT reading is more concrete knowledge such as asking you questions that are almost word for word in the reading, you just have to find them; hardly any interpretation
do Kaplan reading practice tests since those sections are actually longer than most of the real test reading sections meaning if you can get a good score on that, you'll be pretty much set for the real deal

science is a hit or nothing in my opinion...

your math seems up there already, just concentrate and don't make silly errors especially during the last twenty or so questions when they start to become a bit trickier than the starter questions

English is probably easiest to improve by doing more practice tests since the questions they ask are very very VERY repetitive

I got mad lucky.

E-33

I made 2 32's and a 30 before this
