October 2008 Score Thread

Ugh, I did terrible.

E 28
M 18
R 33
S 24
W 25

I thought I did good. I don't know, more experiences? I wish there were charts to draw from or something.

Ob: You can easily improve your score by studying up on math. I brought mine up from 25 to 34 just by studying. 18 will be even easier to improve-- I'm sure you could bring it up to (at least) 27 with ease!

yep
for instance, studying basic trigonometry will automatically give you 4 questions

Any recommendations for studying books?

you guys are forgetting if this person is not naturally good @ math like 99% of college confidential is...

Not to say that you can't be good at anything else.

Yeah, I'm terrible at math. Let me reiterate: TERRIBLE at it. My extremely strong points are reading and writing, anything to do with English really. I've literally spent half of my life in the library (My mom worked for the local library up until two years ago; she'd pick me up afterschool and I'd wait for her until she got off).

I remember at a summer program I went to to work to my strengths and not my weaknesses. Would it be best to study more reading?

I understand. My English teacher got a 36 on the reading and english section of the ACT.

We can't say the same for math, however.

how can I raise my 26 english and 30 reading? but I did get a 36 in math

34 E
36 M
36 R
34 S (hahahaha, whaaaa?)
35 C

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!! Never taking standardized tests EVER AGAIN!!!! (But I'm so lucky I only had to take the SAT and ACT once! Mwahahahahaha.)

29 E
30 M
34 R
33 S
32 C

Yay, although getting a 34 because I missed 1 reading question is lame -_-.

30E
36M
30R
30S
32C
:/ wanted a 33! oh well

It was my second and last time taking it and overall I'm pretty happy.

English: 35 (up from 31)
Math: 33 (up from 29)
Reading: 36 (up from 32)
Science: 26 (down from 33) Aghhh!!!!
Composite: 33 (up from 31)

33 was what I was aiming for but the fact that I could have had a 34 or 35 if not for the stupid science section makes me so mad. Oh well I'm over it and never have to take it again. Yay!
