which section was the experimental reading? i had 4 but for get which one was experimental

I put ‘genious has to be cultivated’ for one.
The author is not saying that genious is not present in aristocrats and women, but rather that they dont have time to paint…

That one was E, I’m pretty positive.

What was the artist trying to say in the first paragraph?

which one was experimental? did any of you have encomium as a choice for one question or was that experimental?

Second to last on the artist passage was definitely E.

Is everyone sure “plot” meant “chart”? I put “conceive”…ugh.

er, what was choice E again?

Exactly.

I think she was trying to challenge the idea of what greatness in art is.

Yes it was definitely chart.

Plot was definitely used in the sense of mapping, or “charting,” the celestial objects.

Experimental was the TV one then.

Wait, Nikhil didn’t feel skeptical or resistant? >.>

can soemone post the updated list of correct answers?

October 2009 SAT Critical

It wasn’t simple at all for me, it was like doing two practice SAT Critical readings within one.

i want at least a 700 for CR so about how many questions wrong can i get and still hope for something in the 700s?

I put accusatory and disseminate.

I said for the second to last artist one B. Definately not E, which said greatness was only specific groups (opposite).

Anyone remember the one about “Why did the author use a long list to describe the lines in the Space/Atlas paragraph?”

I said to describe the satellites but two other possiblities were to show his amazment in new things and talk about novelty/diversity.

@lockdown,
No, that was a complete distortion, considering how she defined genius earlier in the passage.
E was something like… the traits obvious in a group of people shouldn’t be used to define artistic success.
I think that’s the answer, and somebody a few posts before me agreed with me. :o

edit: accusatory is wrong, it was wry

What was the answer to the nikhil question talking about what characterizes the parents in the last paragraph…something along those lines does anything know?

nikhil 1 was NOT frustrated because it said that he also ‘could not blame his mom’ edit: nvm

Choice E for the second to last artist question clearly stated that genius was NOT inherent to specific groups.

The geologist talked about the features of Io and Europe to show the novelty and diversity of the universe.

yes, it was definitely not E. the author is talking about social influence, not ‘genius’, so no.
