October 2009 SAT Critical Reading

the answer with employers was “rejected by employers”

The maps and projections of the planets’ surfaces were able to be instantly interpreted – “immediately understandable.”

Anyone remember iconoclastic vs ecletic?

the pictures were immediately understandable (from the geologist one).

eclectic i think. (i can’t remember what question this is)

Definitely eclectic. The novel could not be put in a specific genre, as it drew from so many various sources and was thus eclectic.

eclectic (did I spell it right?)

I got employers and eclectic.

^ does “immediately understable” refer to the Mercator maps?

i think i put dominant for that one, woops

@VARUNKG: yes

The maps were immediately understandable, yes.

artificially enhanced?? any1?..

for the face one? i forget what i put

I said mysteriously attractive/appealing for the face one.

It was definitely artificial. A couple of us argued for that a few hours back.

why werent the maps “mysteriously attractive”

i thought they were really interesting and super detailed

i put artificially enhanced…i think?

It was definitely immediately understandable; the author explicitly stated this in the passage (something like “immediately able to be interpreted”).

It was immediately understandable. for sure.
the justification was like in the same sentence… I don’t see how artificially enhanced would be even close
