October 2009 SAT Critical Reading

It was immediately understandable.

for the last question of geologist, can it be “~~ of foreboding”? there were two strong adjectives that stood out: aged-old and weary ?? image of earth?

going back to “novelty” and “diversity”, the answer choice with these two words was refering specifically to the pictures, not the objects they were depicting. As a geologist, she should be moved, i believe, by the physical nature of, or a variety of conditions of moon. -

and anyone with move stealthily? so that she can move close to him and have a serious conversation about major

nooo lol… it had to be artificially inhanced cause thas what i put!! 8*(

The answer to that one question was NOT admiration. It was a parallel to Cimboe or whatever’s reaction.

waza, it was not foreboding. 99% sure on that one bro.

Hey I’m pretty sure the one with a flock of sheep is satirizing rustic lifestyle. The sentence before said that most artists came from pastoral backgrounds and then it says, “Even when the artist DIDN’T come with a flock of sheep,” which was referencing the whole pastoral lifestyle thing mentioned in the previous sentence. There was nothing to indicate that she was jeering specifically at that one dude’s discovery, and it wasn’t about CONTEMPORARY biographies cuz she said these tales had been around forever.

The entire narrative (by the geologist) has a light and amazed tone; there is no reason that he would forebode anything.

i didnt answer like any on the art one. it was bologna

agree with jb

is this “satirizing rustic lifestyle” right?

Primz, what did you put for that question (artists)?

I still believe Mic and Gio’s similarity lies in that fact that they both showed “ARTISTRY”

What did you think about the mocking/jeering/etc. one? I’m pretty sure it was mocking, but I could be wrong. Jeering is too aggressive.

it was artificial enhanced right !?..cause he talked about computer simulations … using the methods that were used 500 years ago

It was not satirizing, definitely mocking.
Why would she satirize rustic lifestyle? She’s talking about art here lol.

It was conventional biographies, not contemporary. And in that respect, the “mocking” answer is the best.

Anybody remember question about Estella’s?

“artificially enhanced” was what i put. it did say something about “interpretation”, but the first thing it said was that the computer’s enhanced the images.

I put artistry first but changed it because I think there were deeper implications.

nta339: no, I put something else. What are the other choices?
waza127: no, I have a feeling it’s admiration.

just remember one thing: whats true for “stock-in-trade”
answer should be rural setting or something…
