@college girl…i can only find it if you give me a quote from it

hey what was the “iceburg” question from the artists passage?

Deleted .

stix2400–i think the answer was something like perceived ideas about art… agree?

proof of discovery
quote from passage that sky high nicely found
“The fairy tale of the discovery by an older artist or discerning
patron of the Boy Wonder, usually in the guise of a lowly shepherd boy, has been a
stock-in-trade of artistic mythology ever since Vasari immortalized the young Giotto,”

available to the eye of instant interpretation. Within this book, each planet and moon had its accompanying map, composed of a computer-generated image that flattened its subject out on a single rectangular strip-the so-called Mercator projection.

they are available! because of the mercator projection. just a regular picture would not have made the features clear, but the computer generated “flattened image” made things there for your to see

that iceberg question stumped me, and does anyone know the two answers to the indian ceremonial passage? i’m buggin out.

Mysteriously attractive ring a bell for anybody?

Aw man. I don’t remember much from it. It just started off with something like you wake up and you have 24 hours to live, but I don’t remember the exact words! DANG. This is upsetting. Haha.

IntangibleGator, yeah. what was the question?

I’ll try again from earlier… What did those of you put on the art history passage when explaining why the author put “Even though not all artists had a flock of sheep…” (words to the effect); I put that it was to downplay instruction…

reposting since was at bottom of page and people probably missed it

if you want to see the full articles go to pages 38 and 39

mifune…sky high posted the whole passage a few pages back so you can see the exact words
i believe the correct answer was steryotypical story

I believe I put satirizing or mocking. It was mocking though.

Oooo…

the iceburg one I remember E was like “…something…recieved ideas about art”

the word recieved didn’t make sense to me but it still seemed right.

for the Native American passage… first question I put A) refute a claim; second question E) (dont remember wording)

the iceberg one was the massive amount of ideas about art…all the other ones made 0 sense

@ above

refute a claim,
not a tool for memorization

I concur with stix2400; it was, words to the effect, ‘all the ideas received about art’

what was the question for the first indian question?

Yes exactly, not a tool for memorization. I also had to come back to that passage, but knowing that I had those two correct soothes my CR anxiety. I believe I may have missed one, but not more than two.

was it good that i omitted questions that i had only narrowed down to three answer choices? i only omitted like 3 from each of the two CR sections. the rest i think i got all right.

mmwhatyousay: coalesced was good, but compromised didn’t make sense.
