October 2009 SAT Critical Reading

what were the other answer choices to the hobble question

Compare two “stories” - 1st was about some painter who painted something terrific hile his master wasnt there and then he said that the boy painted better than him. The second was about Gigott (or what was his name) - it was either comparable to the admiration of the painter who found him od the fact that he found him. I know it’s confusing, but I dont know how to explain it better.

disseminate, expediate and 2 others.

does anyone remember the other answer choices to “full time endeavor”

How many points should I get to have at least a 600 to 650 on CR ?

What vocab question had accidental as an answer?

Questions…

What was the question for accidental?
What were some other options for rustic circumstances?
Level of detail…are you sure it wasnt the aesthetic answer? I checked specifically to see if there was any mention of aesthetics and the word was literally in the next sentence saying that it was an aesthetically different view for geologists. Thoughts?
Usefulness in modern technology…what were the other options? Something about it being used so far away from the time when it was invented?

i put level of detail but i was debating aesthetic view
i think they mention in the paragraph how the bigger view of earth wasnt helpful to geologists, who studied the vast details on earth, something like that

what were the other choices to the title question? (the feast)

i feel like i marked a for that, whatever it was. it was asking how 2 would title 1, right? where 1 was the happy go lucky live in the present one and the other said he can live without the present… it’s just going to bite him in the ass anyway

no it was asking how 1 would title 1 using quotes from 2, i believe

and all i know is one of the other answers was like walking on a sidewalk in my solitude…

Agree with sunfire. Aesthetics were mentioned in a near question, but the questoin was “why wouldnt they like (or some similar word) this view on the Earth” and it wasnt because because they dont like the way the Earth looks from space, but the don like it because that look doesnt provide them with enough informaiton about the Earth.

Guys.
level of detail not interesting to geologists–> What was the question asking about??
PLEASE!

did anyone have a question with the passage. “1953 Persia…didn’t ask Duke to move out yet” (or something like that). if so what other passages were in that section? was it experiemental?

I didnt have which means it’s exermintal.

In the passage about the Atlas. I think it was somewhere in the middle. He was talking about an image of the Earth taken form the space.

there’s this iceberg question? i think i went for social norms or something. what did you guys put

^same, but people said it was wrong :(

for the iceberg i said mass of received ideas about art
i think…

I also said the mass of received ideas about art. Both reading passages were pretty hard this time!

anyone remembered the question for the answer “full-time endeavor”. what were the other options??
