are you sure the quote was from madison? I thought it was from the anti-federalists, who would support less centralized government in favor of the people’s will

are you sure the british/french/spanish colonies’ relationship with native americans was about strategic alliances? i put that, but thought the culture one might work as well.

no it definitely was not about culture. They cared nothing about the Native Americans. If they cared anything about their culture they would not have rampaged and murdered thousands of them in order to get the land on which the colonies were settled.

and I don’t think the marching picture was Coxey’s army. Their banner said “laywers sound money club,” which was made up of businessmen (who likely opposed free silver)

and just to answer a previous question, feminists would have opposed benjamin rush, not brigham young. rush tried to maintain the ideals of the republican era, which basically discriminated against women.

ok well it seems like no one took US history this time…makes sense because it’s usually the test that everyone waits until after they’ve finished the course for (AKA june)

but anyways, I’m just surprised how small this thread is compared to some of the others

I am fairly certain that the answer to the 1920s immigration question was the restriction of immigrants coming in from Southern and Eastern Europe. See the national origin act that was passed during the 1920s to keep these immigrants out.

what is an example of a progressive tax?
Pennsylvania was noted for all of the following except?
great awakening led to? (I put response to republican enlightenment ideals…)

and if anyone can remember questions concerning the SCLC (southern christian leadership conference)

lowell mills was that men and women worked “lowell girls” remember? it wasn’t dorms. im pretty sure its brigham young too for the feminism one. Oh and the answer for immigration was that it favored north and western europe bc the national origins act restricted immigration from south and east europe not nw europe which started coming to america in the 1840s

i think the progressive tax is the one that’s imposed on liquors and cigars, since progressive people advocates prohibition;pennsylvannia’s probably not noted for clash with Native Americans, since the city of brotherly love was known for its fair treatment of our native friends;m not sure about the last question on great awakening…

i screwed up the test real bad…i feel like m getting half of the questions wrong…argh…

And there was also a question about the role of NAACP? didnt it have something to do with court cases? arg…I can’t really remember anything about the test which is frustrating
