October 2010 - Biology E/M

“In addition to its role in transporting molecules between mother and fetus, the placenta is a major endocrine organ. It turns out that the placenta synthesizes a huge and diverse number of hormones and cytokines that have major influences on ovarian, uterine, mammary and fetal physiology, not to mention other endocrine systems of the mother.”
placenta does act as an endocrine.

Well I am -2 and 2 omit

@DancinggBear
At this point, I can only say that it won’t be as generous as the E curve.

Oh definitely, haha some of the diagrams on the E curve was like ‘what?’ lol shell is so random.

Lol yeah… I wasted so much time on E too… too bad.

The secondary strucutre of protein one was h-bonds

^Got that too.

Does anyone know the answer to the how amany dna molecules are in the chromosomes, i was really confused, shouldnt there be like a billion or watever, i just put 10,000

^I was extremely confused on that one. Also, any ideas on the question with the genome?

i think by dna molecules they mean the whole strand as a single molecule so the answer I THINK was 2

@dancingbear: think thats 50,000 RNA transcriptions or watever

What was the answer to that stupid question with the corn and pig and cow or something

oh it was 2 -_-, i never learned that basic concept ever anywhere, damn that -4 [How many molecules of DNA are there in one chromosome? How many double helices are there per chromosome? ? - Yahoo! Answers](<a href=“Yahoo | Mail, Weather, Search, Politics, News, Finance, Sports & Videos”>Yahoo | Mail, Weather, Search, Politics, News, Finance, Sports & Videos)

Argg well there goes that 800.

^^ 50000 rna transcripts yup :D:D what do u guys think of -2 ommit and -3 wrong with M

huh i dont remeber that one^ the 50000 rna what was the ?

oh wait…*** does that make the answer 4? lol

anyone know the answer to that farm problem above? ^

^was that in E?

anyone know a curve for the Bio M? link would be great

@jjtheairplane: it was like 50,000 genes = ??

a) 50,000 nucleotides
b) 50,000 chromosomes or watever

still dont remeber, i might have just skipped

@jjtheairplane it was around the question with the centromere

wat do you get if you get like 10 wrong lol
