October 2010 CR SAT Thread

Agree with takayu

it was circumvent/erronesou

Got colloquial language for the critic passage. And it was circum/erroneous. No doubt.

i got the erroneous one as well

Was inadequate an answer for this? I think I put inadequate.

Was it an Analogy or Figurative Language? I put the latter.

QUESTION:

So for experimental sections, there are different ones for each person right?
As in two people who both had experi. reading can have different READING passages for that experimental section?

Thanks ^_____^

Also got colloquial for the critic passage.

Inadequate is the answer

i put inadequate too. It said emphatic not empathetic

boston, I put inadequate. I understood it as Passage 1 saying we were not doing enough, only trying to slow it down so all the things Passage 2 said were not enough because there was no exact solution? Idk

the girl jumping rope passage- was it comparison or personification? (she was talking about her shoes…)

I got colloquil

For the 24 question reading, the last question asked what passage one would think of the last paragraph of passage 1, was it prudent?

I think the critic passage was the hardest of the CR passages

l0rdie, I put analogy.

i think it was comparison at that point, since there was a list of things that she compared it to if i remember right

i put analogy too. nothing else made sense.

i put figurative language

i put inadequate too…it would be hard for me to think the first author could respond to the second in wholly positive tone like prudent

Definitely iFailatSAT.

I put analogy as well, and for the opening paragraph on the ropes I put comparisons because she was not really personifying was she?
