October 2010 Math SAT Thread

what was your reasoning for the one where it was a/b is equivalent to 2/3 and a and b are between 0 and 10? I know that there is 2/3 4/6 and 6/9. I decided not to include 2/3 because it was already given in the question. Did anybody else put this?

^r u sure it said a AND b are b/t 0 and 10?

I said 2/3 4/6 and 6/9 for the question where it said a/b is equivalent to 2/3 and a and b are between 0 and 10?

i included 2/3 because well it still qualified ??

was i suppose to include 2/3 as well ?

(x+y)^2 is equal to x^2 +2xy + y^2… go crazy from there

Does anyone remember which answer choice “wx” was?

I believe A

*** was the 1080 average. no one seems to remember that one at all.

^^Yeah, it was A.

what was the question for the grid in with the answer of 8???

Hey guys which one of the grid ins was experimental? Thanks!

5 Big Computers = 10000
2 Big Computers = 4000

100000-4000=6000

Simple.

papapia, if you picked the very last row of the chart, then it was indeed 4 big 1 small (8500). But the row above it had 5 large computers (10,000) sold for the month. I’m sorry to say it, but the graph tricked you.

what did u guys think of the reading passages?

^Please post in the CR thread.

Anyone who misread the chart with computers is an idiot

wth was the question with 1080 as answer. DOES NO ONE REMEMBER??? and the one with 8 as an answer???

does anyone know the question about the july and august one? i remembered trying to do it but i don’t know why i couldn’t get it. it seems like no one else had any trouble with it

wheres the CR thread?

the one with the 1080 asked about the total number of hours that the student had studied for throughout their four years of high school. something like that

I agree with every single question on the consolidated list.

Except, does anyone remember how that question with the answer of “4500 dollars” went? I cannot recall that one at all.
