October 2010 SAT - Degree of Difficulty. Same as January curve?

CR - Medium
Math -Easy
Writing- Average

I am crossing my fingers for the best score of my life.

writing - easy
math - average -> hard
reading - hard

D:

I thought it was:

CR: Medium
WR: Easy
Math: Hard

But maybe that was because WR for me has become a lot easier since I did a little bit of studying & I’m good at CR & I suck at math, hahaha.

CR—>Average to the easy side. I’ve done harder real practice tests
Math–> Again, average to the easy side, there are some that’s tricky
Writing–>MC easy, but I can see the essay topics causing trouble to some.

Writing - easy
Math - average/hard
CR - easier than usual for me

Cr-hard
W-average
M-medium/hard

math -> hard
cr -> average
wr -> easy

Yeah essay for me was hard. -_-
I got the environment one and wanted to die because all my pre-chosen examples did NOT WORK. Except Fahrenheit 451, BARELY.

I think US students had different questions than internationals? Yesterday they were all saying CR was hard, math was easy and writing was confusing (I took that to mean hard). I personally thought CR was easy-medium, with the exception of a few hard SC questions. Math was insanely easy (I actually had to triple check each time I finished a question to make sure I didn’t nod off while doing one). Writing MC was gay. There were 3 questions that seemed to have 2 answers, but the rest were pretty straightforward. I’m in the Orient, so my essay prompt was something about adapting to change, which was really easy. I only needed less than a minute to come up with my examples :P

My guess is that CR’s curve will be average if not more lenient; writing should be slightly more lenient for int. tests and math is definitely going to be harsh as hell.

Consensus?

^hey viggy, was wondering what you thought of the test, cuz i know you were hoping to break 2300. Whats your prediction for your score.

^I thought it was easy but my test center kind of screwed me over because we had no clocks and I didn’t know how long I had left until the proctor said 5min. because he insisted that he couldn’t say when there was 10 min. left…

But yea, I think I did quite well. I am pleased with myself. I don’t want to make a prediction though.

CR-A little harder than I expected
M-Harder than I expected, but still really easy
W-A lot easier than I expected, pretty easy

Critical Reading was MUCH harder than expected.
Math was really, really easy.
Writing was slightly easier than expected and the essay was a gift.

CR: Medium-Hard (I felt like there were a lot of debatable questions on this one)
Math: Medium-Easy
Writing: Experimental section was medium, actual section was fairly easy

Writing - Joke/Easy
Critical Reading - Medium/Hard
Math - Medium

the essay really got me too. other than the essay, i think i did alright on all the other sections.
writing- easy/med.
cr- med.
math- easy/ like 3 confusing ones.

if i just got another essay topic and did better on that, i wouldve gotten like the best score ever cause the other parts of the test was so much easier than i thought! ughh

Wow I felt completely different about it than most of you guys! I thought:

CR - Easy! Definitely easier than any of the ones I’ve taken
Math - Easy-Medium
Writing - MC: Easy, Essay: Hard. Hmph

Writing was absolutely on the easier side.
Math was so similar to the BB I forgot I was taking the real test.
CR was controversial, but overall a pretty average test. Maybe on the harder side.

I would guess:

CR - hard (could be medium, but I doubt it)
M - easy
W - easy/med
