October 2011 SAT General Discussion

I put bewildered as well

eccentric was for another answer.

there was one question about ambivalent and bewildered

I thought most of the critical reading passages were easy. There was only one passage that was about art and literature that gave me a headache. I usually manage to answer all the CR questions but this passage made me freeze up a little. The passage didn’t make a whole lot of sense and the questions didn’t make it any easier.
The math was so-so. I’m terrible at math, but I didn’t find it all too bad.

yeah I put eccentric

I also got paranoid for another one

I think the collaborate question was one of those rare Diction questions. They might have a generous curve for writing hopefully.

For one of the writing questions, one of them was about how something didn’t “collaborate” with someone’s ideas. I put that as the error because it I thought it was supposed to be corroborate, but I was really confused because I’ve never seen a writing question that has you correct vocabulary usage.

This SAT was hard. I can only hope for a higher CR score.

There was one that read something like “The show had stock characterization, but supporters argued that it was ____ despite being _____.” I put compelling/formulaic, but I was stuck between that and stimulating/controversial. There was another one that had shrewd and intellectual as answers.

can someone explain how they got 96pi + 64

He was also eccentric…

Does any one else think the nuke passage was really hard?

what did you guys get for the question where you have to the length of a certain side of a triangle. The measurement that they give you is like 8*square root of 3 for the hypotenuse

im pretty sure it was repentent, b/c he realized he was better off kind of without his new roomate.

wait is bewildered a rite answer… or not.

*** is the paranoid question. was that the same question?

Eccentric and collective interests are correct. The second to last question on nuclear power was c.

i put eccentric and ambivalent

Comparing last paragraphs of nuclear was that they both cited common interests or something like that (by using “we” etc.). I said negative impact for one of the questions iirc.

My experimental was math- anyone else?

For the biographer passage what was the answer to the second to last question about what the underlined word meant?

hopeful2013, that was the same question…

apparently paranoia is the right answer

It was repentant as well.

i got paranoid too. he kept accusing his roommate of thinking bad things about him, and asked if he was a hired counselor

is it ambivalent or bewildered?
