October 6 SAT math

crap what's 2 omit 2-3 m/c wrong

710 maybe?

family energy was 3. you just had to look at the graph. ya dejawu, i had 2 and 3rd, and i hated it. i was not ready for the math, especially 2 in a row. I remember the 2nd's medium questions confusing me.

why....... is math such a hard curve? lol. math is the only thing my parents care about, and yet, like 5 wrong is below 700. rediculous geez

did anybpdy get like -4/7 or -7/4 for a slope on the earlier section

Yeah, I got one of those slopes. I think -7/4? I dunno but only one of them was an answer choice.

-7/4

negative reciprocal

alright schweet

It was probably mentioned in the... last 36 page (lol
but does anyone remember the x^2=y^3
if X^2/3, what is y? or something like that?

i put "y" as my answer. anyone else?

Yes, that's the answer.

x^2=y^3
x=y^(3/2)

x^(2/3)=[y^(3/2)]^(2/3)
x^(2/3)=y^[(3/2)(2/3)]
x^(2/3)=y^(6/6)
x^(2/3)=y^(1/1)
x^(2/3)=y^1
x^(2/3)=y

does any1 know the answer to like if y>2, and xy=y+x.... something like that? Or was it a experimental?

that was like between 1 and 2

^8parks11 is right. It becomes xy > 2x and therefore 2x < y+x And...

...
...
...

Oh ye Gods, don't tell me I got this one wrong due to a careless error with the sign...

I don't know what I was doing with this problem anymore...

i put that. but u sure? I only put that because of 1.5. I think 1.5 may have been the only answer..... but why wouldnt it have been between 0 and 2 then?

continue proving please, ur just proving my guess right lol

what did you get for the question that asked how many circles had point P as the center with certain circumference?

alot of people seemed to argue infinite, since plane m or whatver goes on forever. but if im not mistaken, it has to have a certain point p, and has to have a certain circumference, so it can only be 1 circle. of course, unless they count circles on top of each other....... which would be rediculous

Did anyone get 3y + (1/2)x^2 for number 20 on the section 2 math? An earlier poster claimed 3y + 1/2 (x-3) ^ 2 was the answer but I think that's off. It was the area of this weird composite figure-

Anyway, I'm agreeing with the general view of answers-hoping for 800 or 770 :)

what........ question was that? i ermember asking for the area of a square or soemthing when a circle was inside... lol

256! that one was wayyyy easy.

thats what i put!
