October 6 SAT math

Roman Numerals was all but except one I believe..

Alright. But I saw a post in which someone was certain it was all 3??

well i'm certain that it was only I and II

the question where it was like rst=30 and r^2t=200 what can't rs equal...i know the answer was 30 but was that experimental???

ya it was thank god. 3 questions i didnt know was on that section

wait also, i m not sure if this was experimental..but for a question that said how many triangles can you fit to make....was the asnwer 8?

What's another question from that RST experimental section, or what was the second to last question from that math experimental.

Ugh i remmeber some triangle problem. It had height of x, and base of x/4. Then i think it said howmany triangles do u need to make a square with side x. Is taht it?

Eh. I know the answer for the 'cylinder cone' question is 2, but can anyone remember the EXACT phrasing of the question?

I checked all the math sections MANY times, but I think i read the question wrongly on each time (I may have read the question as scooping the water out with the cone :S)

Thanks guys

electricool:

The first grid-in question was "If x/10 = 10, what is the value of 20/x?"

kevinscool - I didn't get that triangle problem you described in my paper.

However, if your question asks how many triangles you need, I assume it applies the area - in which case the answer is 4*2=8

How is excessive worrying about your scores NOW going to impact how did on the test last Saturday?

It will give him time to decide, for example, whether he should sign up for November SAT? (If it's even possible lol)

lol because it makes me confident in my CR score. There is a reason to be optimistic now

thanks spartyon.

I'm almost 100% sure the 'f(x)' question asked for the LEAST integer where (x+5)(x-8) would equal f(x)=0 rather than f(x)<0.

I'm also 100% the term 'LEAST' was in the problem and the 'unfoiled' quadratic equation was (x+5)(x-8).

I put down -5.
It can't be -4 because the equation would equal -12. If that were to be the case the answer should be -5.000000000000001:).

Joining in late.

^^Sorry, Penn_dreamer, the question was for f(x)<0.
f(x)= 0 would be too easy and without a catch.

-5<x<8, the least integer x=-4.

You guys, ignore my previous post. But still, just because a question is too easy and 'without a catch' doesn't mean it can't be a question.

I'm still standing by f(x)=0

It is f(x)<0.

yeah, it wasnt =0.
