October SAT Curves?

Any predictions?

Math harsh
CR average
Writing slightly lenient

If I Left 1 Blank In Math Can I Still Get An 800

i think the writing part was pretty easy. math was harder than i thought

I think so, Bobob.

math - harsh
reading - lenient
writing - average

M - brutal
CR - easy
W - very easy

CR
800
790
770

M
800
790
780
760
750
740

W(12)
800
780
770
760

The essay was really easy. I filled it up good. :-p

Can someone quickly explain exactly how curves work? I found math a bit difficult (left liek 7 or 8 blank) but I also had an expiremental one this year.

Why does everyone think math is going to be brutal? I haven't really done predictions before...

i would hope that the curves will be fairly lenient!

Math is always brutal, but I thought the October math was super easy. I only had trouble with one of the problems.

What are October curves like compared to the other test dates? Are they usually constant for a specific month? (as in does it work like: May curves are usually brutal, January very lenient) Or does it vary from year to year?

How does the SAT curve work can anyone gimme a link or something?

fyi, math is usually:

-0 800
-1 780 (NOT 790)
-2 760
-3 740
-4 720
-5 710
-6 700

I am curious about the curves too. My son and all his friends thought the CR was way harder than in May, but they all thought the math was way easier.

yeah i agree with you, curlygirl.

Math was quite hard...and im good at math
CR was OK
Writing was too easy i think
BTW i never knew they curve on the SATs...

Math was ridiculously easy, my friends and I all finished with 10-15 mins left over; so....probably a harsh curve.
CR will be fine, probably minus 2/3 = 800.
Writing: who cares

no math was definitely a lot easier. i'm REALLY hoping that 2 omit and 1 wrong would be a 750 !!

wow. My son said he left two out and thinks he got all the rest right. But I am sure that can't be. No way he could go from a 680 to a 750.

He had a 560 last time on the CR and was hoping to get that to a 600. Is it possible if he felt it was that much harder.
