Yep, it was Ceasar: César Chávez - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This test was sooo much harder than the physics. I think I left 5 blank, including the invention and Caesar Chavez.

I would be happy with a 750.

WHat was the answer to the MLK Jr. Quote?

The answer is Ghandi.

Darnit. I hadn't the slightest idea what Gandhi had said, so I guessed.....

Well MLK followed Ghandi's nonviolent civil disobedience :p

It seemed like there were a lot of questions on the 60s and 70s, more 'recent' history than what I was expecting...

Can anyone confirm that African Americans didn't go north because of AA newspapers? Or was the answers unions?

I don't remember, sorry, phoenix. Guess not that many took US History after all.

Oh, the supreme court decision one- was it something vs. Carr (E) ?

I said that the erroneous reason was because unions were open to them. I'm not positive, but I don't think that unions like the AFL were open to African Americans in 1910; however, I do think that black newspapers may have published articles discussing less racial discrimination/higher wages in the North.

I'm not sure, though.

^ Same as you. I guessed.

Does anyone remember the antebellum questions? I knew that "ante" meant "pre," but for some reason I just figured that it was pre Civil Rights Movement...

I can't remember the questions, but if anyone would like to go over them, I'd appreciate it.

antebellum means before the Civil War

Right, but there was a question about the significance of the antebellum period, I believe. I think I chose something pertaining to Evangelicals, and I was wondering if I got it right.

Haha I missed the grape question, I put George Meany. I was stuck between him and Chavez. The only other one I didn't really know was "the Century of Dishonor", but based off of the name I put the native american struggle, and it turned out to be right. I vaguelyremember the antebellum question, but I can't remmber what I put or what it was about.

Yeah, Century of Dishonor was about American Indians.

Another one I wasn't sure about was the Continental Congress question, by process of elimination, I was left with the delegates choosing the army because it was cheaper, however that didn't seem right.

^
Do you remember the choices for that Cont. Congress question?

Much harder than the practice tests I took in the subject test books. I'm thinking -8 to -12.

I can't remember the question for the continental congress one, what was it about?

I agree, it was more difficult than the ones in the practices tests, but I kind of expected it.

I'm 90% certain labor unions didn't open up to blacks in the early 20th century, and besides, I don't think labor unions would have been a compelling reason to move north. They would move for the jobs or other reasons prior to being integrated into the unions.

Edit: Poisonous, the question asked why the Cont. Congress funded a central army.
