what was the answer to the last question of the test number 14 where it asked about the garabage recyled

do you remember anything else about the question bc i cant remember it…i think i got that one though

it was like the hiker suggest… , while hiking …, should throw our grarbage out its very vague in my head but its somthing like that

The tour guide suggested that, while in the national park, we shouldn’t throw our garbage on the trails. something along the lines of that…

there was no we in front of shouldnt i remeber… there was 2 that said, we did and we not…

It was E. that we not throw our trash

Why is it we not throw our garbage on the trails? What makes “Our tour guide requested that we did not throw our garbage on the trails” wrong? Thanks
The “did” is extraneous [and the wrong tense], if you have reproduced the question accurately. “Our tour guide requested that we not throw our garbage on the trails” is the grammatical answer as opposed to “Our tour guide requested that we did not throw our garbage on the trails.”
Forms of “do” are combined with “not” to signal negation in the indicative mode. Most English sentences are written in the indicative mode, so it is what you are accustomed to seeing.
After verbs like “request,” “order,” and so on, the subjunctive mode is required. “Do” is not used to signal negation in this use of the subjunctive mode.
