Odd thing on Common Application--symbol was green, now it's yellow--problem?

Son submitted several applications through the common application site today (finally!) and just when I was breathing a sigh of releif, he shows me that for one of the schools, the little symbol that was green earlier (right after he submitted the application) turned to yellow when he opened the file to check that he had included his social security number.

Should we be worried about this? The deadline is December 1.

Drill down to see what form it is that CommonApp seems to think you are missing.

Colors for our submitted apps have changed every which way. I would not worry. If you don't get an email acknowledgment next week, give them a call.

Thanks for the replies. The Common Application thinks that the supplement is missing (that is the item with the little yellow square next to it now). But the supplement definitely should not be missing--the little arrow next to the supplement used to be green, and it still says submitted next to the supplement.

The CommonApp website is glitchy.
Don't worry about it if the site says it is submitted.

My daughter's applications had the same problem. She submitted all her supplements, even getting an email from Common App telling her they'd been uploaded successfully, but the status icon was a yellow square (which means started but incomplete) instead of green triangle (done).

She emailed Common App tech support the next morning (Dec. 1). She got a reply within minutes that told her not to worry. In so many words, they told her that they know the website has some glitches, and to check the WORDS next to the status icon for each section. If it says submitted or downloaded (by the college), you're fine. DD's does.

Hope this helps.

We've observed the same glitch (it was Emory), as well as an earlier glitch involving the arts supplement.
Also note that if the school's fee payment is offsite (like Harvard's), apparently the icon beside the school name on the main page will never turn green.
