Also let me mention that the trig course and pre cal course listed in junior year are each a semester course so they don't factor in to my GPA as much. Also under junior year the Graphics Img. Tech II class is worth 2 credits so it counts as 2 A's on my GPA. Estimated weighted GPA after junior year:
3.85 - 3.90.

My SAT scores: a 730 on my reading, 650 on my math, and 620 on my writing. I am on the varsity ice hockey team, do community service, can list a lot of awards, and have just a few clubs. I am in-state. I am also a minority (Asian - Indian Subcontinent).

So, what are my chances?

Also, I am first generation and my parents make like 20-30K per year. I don't know if that helps or not...

One more thing for my senior schedule I have AP Environmental Science listed I am doing this to make up for my (relatively) weak science sequence. As you can see I took Biology, Earth Science, and Chemistry in 9th, 10th, and 11th grades. I did not take any of these classes as honors or AP because I just don't like science, at all. So would it look bad for me to not take the AP Env. Science?

Yo I am not at Trinity but I applied to it last year when I was a senior and was seriously considering it. I think your stats are great. I am also Indian (Asian-Indian Subcontinent) and they wanted me really badly because of being a minority. You should be a shoo-in. My friend was a white male whose stats were definitely lower than yours and he got a lot of money from there. Hopefully they'll hook you up too.

I'm sure you can get in with those stats.
But your financial-aid requirement could be a problem, espeically with these budget cuts going on at Trinity.

What about SAT II??? I believe they also look for gud SAT II scores.......but not so sure.

i think its a nice match for you.

vdgreat, it's good to do well on SAT IIs, but it's not a requirement for Trinity.

Trust me, Trinity is going through financial woes right now, you might get cut from Financial aide like some of the kids have been already in April

Bichaso, I'm just curious...who got thier aid cut in April? Financial aid decisions aren't even made in April.

With all of Bichaso's slams against Trin, one has to wonder if he is nothing more than a bitter rejected applicant.

He's transferring to Berkeley from Trinity according to his posts. Maybe HE lost his aid?

I can almost gurantee you no one has lost thier aid...the president and dean of admissions told me in plain english...it is true that we are no longer offering as much aid as we did...so less incoming freshmen are being offered aid, but no one has lost thier aid to my knowledge.
