Off Campus Housing advice

My son will be a junior in engineering next fall. He has decided he may not want to live in the fraternity house (north campus) next year, but still wants to remain an active. I know it's late, but any suggestions? I get the feeling he'd like a room in a house, which would be sort of dorm-like. He is meeting with the owner of 221 Eddy St. today. What is that like? He'd like to be able to walk, as he won't have a car yet.

THANK YOU for your help!

Your post looks lonely so I will reply. How did he like Eddy? He may be in an okay situation finding a room or if he does not mind waiting it out and looking for a sublet in an apartment. I know it is a little on the late side but that’s mainly if he wants Collegetown. Has he checked Craigslist, Facebook posts or the housing link for off campus?

Best of luck finding a place.

Thanks for your response! He found a one bedroom apartment just down the street from the fraternity house. That’s what he wanted to help him balance engineering and being with his friends. I think he will make the final decision on Monday. Single apts are still available, which is no surprise.
