Hey, I’m an international student and I’ve been accepted as a freshman to Northeastern University. However, there’s a requirement to live on campus for the first 2 years and being a bodybuilder I need my own apartment to ensure I can cook what I need to and sleep on time without the hassles of dorm life. Is there any way around this?
You are required to live off campus unless living with your parents within a 20 mile radius of campus.
Yes, I’m aware, but can I not put in a request to live off campus?
You can request it but be prepared for it to be denied.
So basically, there’s no way to live off campus?
Northeastern is a residential community and living on campus, at least for the first two years, is part of the educational experience.
Fair enough. However, some students have special meal requirements and not being able to meet them can be a problem. Is there a students kitchen or something where we can cook?
Why don’t you contact the school’s food services (to see if they can provide what you need) and residential life (to see if they can accommodate you with a room that has access to a kitchen) to ask those questions?
I meant ON CAMPUS, sorry.
