Off-topic, bro

@dfree

I don’t think you posted it in this thread, but what did you think of the Walking Dead premiere? I haven’t watched it yet, so no spoilers please. :p

Hahaha, yes, we friendless with overblown egos must stick together.

@Quacoh To be honest I didn’t like it very much. I’m a huge sucker for the suspenseful zombie killing action in the previous seasons, but there wasn’t any of that in this episode.

Don’t ruin anything for me. Dish Network refuses to give me AMC unless I pay an arm and leg, so I have to catch up online the next day.

@dfree

Bummer. TWD is definitely a show with highs and lows mixed intermittently throughout the season, and it definitely sounds like more knuckle dragging. Zombies always seems like such a simple formula, yet it is still rarely perfected.

@anaychi

Yep, I never use cable anymore because everything is usually more or less legally available online soon after, and cable never has much of interest beyond the few shows I watch anyways.

Dat feel when I only have basic cable so I can’t watch anything besides FOX and NBC :(

So…the Grammys. I <3 Adele.

Omg, what did I miss? what was tuckermax trolling with?

He just insulted me without any evidence to support his claims. We banded together; it’s no big deal.

HAHAHA @smorgasbord, i want to commend you for a perfect response (the Europe thing)

Bump!!!

I had a feeling when I saw that microphakia976 last posted in this thread that it would say “bump!!!”

Haha.

EDIT: I need some advice. What do you all do when someone says something funny in an email? Not a friend or anything, like an adult that you are formally emailing. I felt weird saying “haha” but what do you do?

Thanks, Hippo!

That depends on the context. Generally, “good one, sir!” might do it.

^^ You can describe your actual reaction. As in, “I chuckled at that one.”

I agree with Studious. My best way of chatting with adults in that matter is to actually describe my feelings (or whatever feelings you’re trying to convey). Otherwise, it just makes it awkward for both of you (believe me, I know from experience).

New game: guess the others’ music tastes?

^ death metal or ballet

smorgasbord, I know what you listen to, so I won’t guess. We talk about music a lot, so I feel like people are pretty aware of what I like, but feel free to guess me.

^ Staunchly classical. With a little yodeling thrown in there somewhere.

I’m pretty aware of Studious’ and Elizabeth’s music tastes, seeing that they’re relatively similar to mine. But I’ll guess that Studious listens to nothing but Gregorian chant and Afrikaans rap.

Edit: It’s worth noting that Afrikaans rap is actually fun to listen to.
