This test was totally unfair, way harder than previous testings. Hopefully the curve will make up for it, but I doubt it.

oh and about the WWI thing... didn't progressives and wilson (although a democrat a still popular progressive) stop vertical integration? I thought they still supported labor unions UNTIL the entry into WWI.

Ugh, we just learned about the Gulf of Tonkin in class, but I forgot already. It had something to do with an alleged attack on American ships in Vietnam?

IT WAS HARD. Dear God. But maybe because it was so hard, it will be cured you know? Like it will be easier to get above 700. We'll see because I have a feeling a lot of people didn't do so hot.

Nor this. Anyone care to refresh my memory?

I put chinese immigrant, since it mentioned something about not knowing the language or the land, something like that. Also, he mentioned not being able to pan any gold, so I assumed he meant the California Gold Rush. During the rush, many chinese immigrants came to California.

 1. Before WWI it was not vertical inte. I'm pretty sure there was vertical integration before WWI, though I may be mistaken.

There was vertical integration before WW1 (the whole trusts thing, standard oil, carnegie mellon, etc), but I don't remember this question either.

I skipped around the test, maybe I didn't read some of the questions . . .? :(

I skipped 14 yikes , i regret not trying to even guess for the ones I sternly did not remember. I finished rather quickly(about 30 minutes).

1.) "Before WW1 the business practice NOT used":I could not decided between corporations and the encouragement of labor unions-in the end i chose the encouragement of labor unions...

2.) The one you all are talking about with the "irish" sounds like the letter from a man to his wife about his travels to a new place...I chose the "california" one, unwittingly because I saw the word "gold".

I actually refused to study once I opened up a practice test from Barron's. The p.t was completely absurd (focused alot on useless memorization of rather obscure treaties, institutions etc.). This test had a FEW of those.

For the ones I answered I did not have too much trouble...

the gulf of tonkin resolution let Johnson &Nixon declare war without congressional approval

For that letter, I put Chinese immigrant.

For business practices before WWI, I put encouragement of labor unions.

How about the thing about Roosevelt before WWII? I put he sold extra military goods to the allies.
I remember this question now. I put this answer as well. Was it an EXCEPT question?

Same as you.

I am pretty sure it said except (80%) because as I was checking i put the labor one but then i read except..

Yeah, it was an except question.

There was a question like "which of these let businesses run themselves under regulations?" or someting like that. The answer choices were the CC, TVA, and I narrowed it down Work Progress Administration and National Recovery Administration. I ended up with NRA though, which I believe to be correct b/c I checked my history book.
