Official 2008 Questbridge National College Match Discussion and Help

Anyone have an answer to my question? I still can't submit my application!

when they say units thats how many credits your class is worth. lik my gym class was worth 2.5 credits aka units.

hmm olive thats weird im done but im just going over it again and again to make sure everythings before i submit. i guess email them or leave a message on their number?

No one is answering phones at QB! I have no email reply! Ahhh! I'm so STRESSED! What happens if I can't submit my app. in time?

im not sure about the short answers ive been asking around as well but i wrote like 2 or 3 sentences for the short answer like explaining it more than just answering the question

From the QuestBridge website:

"You must take the required standardized tests (on or before October 4 for the SAT I or II, and September 13 for the ACT) and send your scores to QuestBridge as well as the colleges you are interested in to qualify for the College Match process. Any testing done after these dates will only be considered in the Regular Admissions process."

Olive_Tree, try clearing the contents on your browser and restarting your computer - it probably won't help, but it's worth a try.

October tests: Results from the October 4 SAT will not be available until October 23, and therefore QuestBridge cannot consider those scores when selecting College Match Finalists. However, the colleges will be able to consider those results when selecting students for College Match Scholarships, if the scores are submitted promptly. If you are planning to take the October 4 SAT, please indicate this in the "Testing Information" section of your QuestBridge application by reporting an SAT result on test date "October, 2008" and leaving the score boxes blank. As soon as your score results are available on October 23, submit them to QuestBridge using the web form on your ''My Locker'' page.

If you are planning to take the October 25 ACT, you should submit your scores to the colleges you are ranking, but be aware that they may not arrive in time to be considered in College Match admissions decisions.

Sorry, meant to add:

From QuestBridge website - <a href="http://www.questbridge.org/students/required_tests.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.questbridge.org/students/required_tests.html</a></p>

thanks, but i think yale takes nov sat2s. At least for Early Action, wouldnt it be the same for QB??? What about Princeton?

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!

Just a reminder that the CSS Profile comes out tomorrow. To check and see if your schools listed requires it:

College Match Program: Requirements

Just select the school name and check out the info there.

Wow, thanks tsprite! You're so benevolent!

Is anyone, like me, not going to select any colleges?
I want to do ED to Penn.
And if I become a finalist, I'm still confused about the binding.
Like if you're a finalist, must they match you to a college, and you're binded to the college with the highest ranking right >_>

BAH, I DON'T KNOW HOW TO OUTWEIGHT THE CHANCES OF FINALIST/PENN VS NOT MARKING A COLLEGE AND DOING ED GAAH!

is anyone else being taken back to the school info page after clicking submit even though youve already filled it out? ahhhhhhhhhh

i submitted mine at 1AM this morning. with the short answers question. my answers were to the point, but i always made sure i explained myself. I didn't just say "My favorite color is red." I was more like "My favorite color is red because it is such a bright and intense color..." something like that

I am also putting UPenn at the top of my ranking list. however i don't think i'll do ED to Penn if i don't get accepted (assuming i'm a finalist) through the match. I have other colleges i want to put on the list, but i'm not sure i want to commit to them all.

on the other hand, going on a full scholarship to any top ranked school would be such a blessing.

GOOD LUCK!!! See you all on October 26 (which happens to be my birthday! what a great present it would be to be chosen as a finalist!)

that happened to me with the household income. just make sure you push the "Save and Continue" button after every section even if you've already done it.

I have the exact same problem, demonsword55! What is happening?!

um what to do if your taking the oct 4 sat2s (im doing bio and math 2) how do i indicate that on the app?

If I by mistake entered SAT IIs which I haven't taken but will take, how do I delete those? QB says I have to put a score, which may be causing my problem...

can someone answer me please im getting nervous as hell how do i put that im going to take 2 sat2s in oct??

I finally submitted it!

(Deep breath!)
